I know many of you will relate to this. As you may remember, I'm trying to stay away from the thrift stores. All those little purchases add up. However, dumpsters, curbside throw aways, and abandoned trailers are all fair game.Yesterday my husband and I stopped along the roadside to check out this cool vintage trailer and Shasta boat.

Very nice little runabout. Needs work... lots of work.

The outside of the trailer is in pretty decent shape. The inside however, pretty nasty.

What I spotted inside, not so nasty. See this pretty little slat table with brass feet? Nice, very nice. I wanted to grab it right then but my husband said it would be stealing.

The lot that this stuff is on is covered in garbage but has a for sale sign. I called the realtor and she said she has a list of about 10 people that want the trailer....I tried to explain that I didn't want the trailer, just the table inside. She was a little rude. We left.

I can't stop thinking about the table. I'm going back for it now. If you don't hear from me for awhile, it's because I'm in jail.
I dont blame you one bit!
ReplyDeleteI have a table just like that! Go get it!
ReplyDelete(Had to repaint mine because it was in about the shape of this one... A couple coats of black and it looks amazing!)
Go baby! I'm sure the realtor has no idea what's inside the trailer anyway!!
ReplyDeleteAnd after you get it I would delete this post!
ReplyDeleteI few of my greatest finds have come in through "questionable" means. Traipsing around on abandoned property can yield some cool things!

ReplyDeleteYeah, that's a nice table; it doesn't 'seem' like anyone would mind if you took it, but I'd still be all sorts of scared to do it, myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll come get you out of jail for steeling the table if you'll come get me out of jail for steeling plants from Army Corp land! Deal?
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO
ReplyDeleteI call it liberation!
