Black Friday Thrifty Finds

And other recent thrift store scores

I love the mod paisley design on this enamel pan.
This turquoise lamp was 75% off
bringing the grand total to $2.50.

Loving my new percolator.
Works like a champ and only
set me back a few dollars.

I found the tiny Dansk vase for 25 Cents.
The large coffee/tea pot was a dollar.
I love these Swedish 60's candlesticks.
They were in the original boxes.
I think they look great next to the
cool owl that was a gift from my friend Heidi.
Another white teapot I couldn't refuse for a dollar.
This book has some very clever ideas.
I love the colors in this
large enamel serving tray.
More fiberglass trays to add to my collection.

Snow? Really?

What a pleasant surprise to wake up to a blanket of white outside my window.
A perfect time to put on Phoebe Snow and enjoy the snowy goodness.

Beautiful From Brazil

Enjoy these beautiful pieces from
Brazilian furniture designer Carlos Motta.
.

"A former surfer, Brazilian designer Carlos Motta began creating furniture with pieces of wood the ocean brought to the shore at southern San Paulo in the 70s. After receiving an Architecture degree in 1976, he moved to California, where he continued his studies on woodwork. Back in San Paulo in 1978, he opened his atelier.

From the beginning the goal was to make furniture with the lesser environmental impact so he decided to work with recycled wood, demolition residues, pieces coming from shores and rivers and FSC certified wood. He now has eleven collections of furniture that include benches, chairs, chaise lounge, tables, easy chairs, sofas, and special projects done by request.

He sells in different States of Brazil, New York, Los Angeles, Utrecht (Netherlands), and Paris."
