We signed the papers on the property yesterday and set up camp today. One of the neighbors was walking his dog as we cruised into the neighborhood with our trailer(s) in tow. Can you imagine what he must have been thinking?
Where's the flamingos? There goes the neighborhood.
Congratulations on the new property! Looks like you've got a great camp set up already. As for the neighbors? Well, there's a reason that you didn't buy property in the center of town!
I've seen that old truck that they used for The Beverly Hillbillies - it's at the College of the Ozarks...Granny often mentioned different towns from this area on the show when she was talking about things back home...hmmm...should I be proud of the fact that I'm from the area that the Beverly Hillbillies are from?
Wow, not one but TWO vintage campers! I'm so excited for you guys - can't wait to see more pictures. Tell us more, will these in fact be your temporary home?
I've just wanted a Scamp for forever but the other person in this relationship said it would be too small for the two of us (we're sort of on the large side). To me that's just cozy, but oh well. Something on our chainsaw broke the other day when they were cutting down a big oak tree and husband was having a hell of a time finding the part--after hearing him yell at the computer one time too many I said, "Oh just buy another one," and he said, "Why? This one works great" and I said, "Because then maybe you'll stop yelling at an inanimate object" and he said, "Ok, I'll yell at YOU, then." Ha ha. He found the part and it's on its way. Thank god.
Okay, now I'm really itchin' to take our trailer out!.. My BF just got a new hitch installed on his truck, maybe we can just two her around the block for a little while. Congrats on the new ownership!
Congratulations! This is quite an undertaking. You're excitement will carry you through all the rough spots. Just try to see the big picture when the county inspectors start chewin' on ya. Good luck and enjoy yourselves. We've been there. It's all worth it.
Are you going to be living in that while you build? Wow, back to nature man!!
