Frugalicious Finds For Under Ten.

I am really becoming an addict. Inflation has taken it's toll. All of these finds were under $10.00. Most were under $5.oo however. The deals are still out there if you are diligent. Here are some recent finds.

A quirky green glass swan. Under $5.
(pictured above) It matches the quirky glass conch my husband found. (see Blue Beauties) Click on pictures for detail. They look much better up close.

Nifty atomic platter. Under $5.

Leafilicious dish. Under $5.

Cool little farmhouse measuring cups. Under $5.

These tiles remind me of Jenn Ski artwork. $1.00.

Fun mushroom cake tin. A wee bit over $5.oo.

Painting of a European village. $2.00

Cool Bavarian pattern platter that I don't need! Yes, under $5.00.

Lovely turquoise lazy susan. Nope, more than $5.00 but worth it.

Daisy plate (7 plates for $3.00) and retro oil and vinegar vessels ($1.99).

My personal favorite. Boomerang ashtray. $1.00.

A crackle glass vase. $2.00.

  1. I have so many of those Lazy Susan sets but I can't stop buying them--I would've scooped up your set, too. I also have a TON of vintage ashtrays from extinct Las Vegas hotels and I haven't smoked for 20 years! Now I'm beginning to see an addiction to vintage TV lamps and all we have are flat screens! Yup, we're addicts FOR SURE.

  2. Wow, I'd like to see a post on your ashtray collection. Can you imagine messing them up with a nasty cigarette butt? That must be tricky balancing tv lamps on your flat screen!

  4. I LOVE you boomerange ashtray!!!! I want one so bad in Turquoise! (I dont smoke, but i think they are a nice detail to Midcentury modest homes becase EVERYONE did)

And I have a swan sort of like yours, his back isnt wavy like that though. My girlfriend and I love the movie "Pleasantville" and In one scene the mother has a green glass swan full of marbles in the bathroom. I found the a swan that looked as close to it as possible $1.50 and gave it to her for her birthday!

  6. HP, I love those tiles too. Mick, what a great idea to fill the swan with marbles. Great birthday present. I'll bet your girlfriend was a happy girl. Heidi, I was wrong today. I said most stuff came from Sally's. The cake tin. lazy susan, leafy dish, swan and tile tray came from SA. All the other stuff from Mother Lode II except for the boomerang ashtray which came from The Treasure Chest in Modesto. You and I need to take a trip to Modesto sometime. Thanks everyone for commenting.
