  2. I've always been a fan of vintage trailers, not long ago I found photos of one that actually has a second floor and I've been trying to find one to see in person. I mean, a SECOND FLOOR, in a trailer! Apparently, it's got a lower ceiling than downstairs and was supposed to be a bedroom for children, lol. Reminds me of "Being John Malkovich".

  3. I want a vintage trailer so bad but of course in the South there's no such thing--it's just the trailer you live in that you got from your parents that they got from their parents that they got from THEIR parents, etc. And then when it's finally unliveable you invite your friends over, buy a couple suitcases of beer, put out the lawn chairs and set the trailer on fire. I know this because some friends of my husband (you notice I call them HIS friends) did this very same thing. Every single one of the pictures on your post made me sooooooo jealous!

  4. I would DEARLY love to have a vintage trailer that I could fix up and decorate to my heart's content. And then I would want to take a long road trip. My sister and her husband sold the one that used to be long to our Grandpa - and I STILL miss that old thing!

  5. Love the trailer condo photo! These photos remind me of one of my favorite childhood vacation memories. We rented an RV and visited the Wisconsin Dells, Chicago & some mid-west RV parks. It was like putting a house on wheels!

Now i really want a trailer for my kids!

  6. I have a recurring fantasy that involves a simple trailer life, a hairdo the size of a toddler, my weight in crinoline and a lucritive tupperware career.

    Is that wrong?

  7. Every time I pass a silver bullet on the highway, I'm tempted to chase it down and beg to look inside! The new camper vans are so boring! Thanks for a walk down memory lane!

  8. I've been fixated on the trailer/condo/treehouse thing all day, do you know anything about it? Where it is? I'd love to know more about it.

  9. Trailers get such a bad rap! I love them and specially the old ones. I love these photos. I'd take just about any of them but the green and white one should be mine..., because it has my name on it. I have never seen my name on anything.

  10. Whoa! I love trailers. Class, definitely, to those "in the know". I have a little yellow Boler and have been using it in the backyard as a retreat, but hope to get'r on the road soon! Zootsuitmama

  11. Perry, the structure is actually an outdoor stage by the Dutch theater group, Theater het Amsterdam Bos. I think it looks like something we could all live in heh? Condo living at its best.

  12. *drool* These are so gorgeous! I just posted a couple sneak peek pics of my lil' 1963 canned ham. I have been to one vintage camper rally in Ojai, CA. The stuff people brought was amazing. Made mine look like a Tonka-toy. Great pics!

  14. Hi ajayan, If you follow my blog it should come up in your blog roll on the dashboard and there is a place right below the comment box that says subscribe by email. I think it only sends something if I respond to your comment though. I'm not sure. Thanks for stopping by. It's nice to know someone is still reading it. I should get busy and post something.
