I spent a few days wandering around Reno last week while my husband took a class. While "the biggest little city in the world" would not be my first choice for a vacation spot, clearly it was something back in the day. There are still remnants of Reno in its heyday although it's looking a little tired these days.
Mid century architecture at its finest. The Fleischmann Planetarium.
I was hoping to see a new post from you, and I loved seeing these great pictures! I hope you enjoyed yourself. Wish I'd been there with you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an fun trip! Anywhere that isn't home sounds like fun to me!

Reno cool back then... gritty now.. but I kinda like gritty... if you can appreciate its history, you're there too. I can only imagine the amazing MCM furniture lurking in the older homes there!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteI got to see Vegas back in the early 70's, and it was so retrolicious!
I wanna go then. But you know me, I'd settle for now.
ReplyDeleteThat's some wonderful Googie goodness!
