Mid Century Magnificent

Several months ago my husband, a realtor, listed a home. The woman selling the home was dismayed that The Salvation Army wouldn't pick up any of the furniture. It belonged to her father and she just wanted to get rid of it. He took one look at the lot and told the woman his wife would love to have it as she is a collector of this style of furniture. She wanted it to remain with the home until it sold. Months passed and finally someone made an offer on the place. The catch was...the buyer wanted all the furniture, except this beautiful Dux credenza.
She wanted $50.00 for it which my husband gladly paid.
Feast your eyes on this magnificent Scandinavian beauty.

We still are not sure if the buyer is going to want to pay the sellers asking price for the rest of the furniture. She refused to include it in the sale of the house because she had to drop the price of the home drastically to sell it. If the buyer refuses the asking price for the furniture, the seller will most likely give it to us for a song in exchange for us hauling the rest of the not so great stuff to the Salvation Army. Among the pieces are two Dux end tables and a matching coffee table and a dining room set, also made by Dux. I will let you know how it turns out.

  4. I am definately crossing my fingers that the buyer won't pay, even though I wish the seller had said "I'm sorry, it's spoken for already". Good luck, and lucky, lucky you to get even that one piece!!
