My friend Jean is slowly parting with many of her treasures.
(Remember the Christmas reflectors and lights she gave me?)
Yesterday she gave my husband her father's fishing gear.
Just in time for our trip to Alaska.
I know they must mean a lot to her or she
wouldn't have saved them all these years.
(The fishing gear, not her children)
I thought they needed a good home.
I'll tell you all about our trip to
Alaska when we get home.

Well, that is quite a haul!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Alaska!

ReplyDeleteThose are perfectly well worn by a love of fishing! I'm glad they were saved all these years, they are absolutely beautiful in form & function!
ReplyDeleteHi; I don't fish, but these 'things' are just beautiful. What an honour to keep on using something that has been loved so much.
ReplyDeleteHere we say: 'Shit fiske (fishing)' - it sounds bad, but it's suppose to bring luck.
