We've been hard at work on the roulotte.
That's what I'm calling them now.
It's all part of the gypsy thing.
I've been a hippie once already
so I guess I'll try the gypsy thing out.
Look at the squeaky clean tiles.
See the before pics here.
And the freshly sanded and stained cupboards.
Gypsy fathers are happy while watching
their gypsy sons work. See the smile?
The gypsy father spiffed up this leaky corner.
Gypsy mother painted it. Everything looks better
with a coat of white paint.
It's actually Kilz.
I accidently bought oil base.
Wicked fumes.
We now have power to us people.
The problem was a faulty extension cord.
Easy fix.
I found the original light cover
but we put the starburst on over it.
A friend who just had new flooring installed
in her kitchen, gave us the leftovers.
There's plenty to cover the whole floor.
Dirty old knobs.
Soak in water...
Add brasso and steel wool...
Voila, shiny and new again.
We found two huge drapery panels
at an estate sale.
I am contemplating covering the cushions
with the fabric. I have plenty to make
curtains too, but I think it will look a little
too circus-y. Then again....gypsies like
bright, happy colors, now don't they?
But the son will be living here.
Maybe curtains would be a little too much.
Oh gee!!! It's looking wonderful!!!
