Last night when we were out,
our son was busy setting up the table and adding his artistic
touches to his Kencraft.
We were busy bees today.
My dear pal Heidi gave us this beautiful glass shade.
I think it's perfect.
Gypsy son finally got to hang the thrift store find,
a metal violin he spray painted white.
After failing miserably at cushion covers,
I decided to install the flooring instead.
I'll finish the rest of that today.
I know it's not vintage-y but it was free.
We put the final coat of paint
around the settee.
We finished off the bathroom shelf.
I wish I had taken before pictures of the
rotten piece of wood that he replaced.
It was just too funky for words...or photos.
I had hardly even noticed the marblized paneling before.
I was a little afraid to go in there.
Our son scoured the shower.
I love the yellow quilted shower surround.
This was my practice run at cushion covers.
It seems so simple on other peoples blogs.
Cushion Cover Fail....
Chas thought it was funny.
Our next project will be re-screening.
There are lots of screens to be repaired
And a screen door that needs some help.
We also repaired and replaced the trunk lid.
The End.
Very impressive! Forget about the cushion cover fail, you guys rock the gypsy handy-man world!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are doing an amazing job. It doesn't even look like the same trailer anymore! I'm so impressed!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!
ReplyDeleteCushion covers are difficult. Keep trying, you'll get it in the end, or you'll go out and buy some.
ReplyDeleteThat screen door does need some major assistance to get back into place.
And I'm loving the light shade and accompanying violin.
Keep these posts up. They're fab!
What a treasure! Can't wait to see it finished! I'm your newest follower. Check out my blog too, if you get a chance!
ReplyDelete~ciao from Newport Beach~
I love your blog...your home is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! A modern Gypsy family makin' an old trailer shine again. It is a lot of hard work, I'm glad you have such capable helpers! We took our 2 trailers out last weekend for my B-day. I'll do a post soon. I'm still unpacking from the trip :-)
