This Week

We visited Ironstone Vineyard.
It was my birthday so my husband
gave me a few thousand tulips.
Too many to bring home.
We thought it best to leave them there.

Isn't this a beautiful ranunculus?

These are my favorites.

While we were there,
someone was here pushing dirt around.
You can kind of see where
the house will be.
Our livingroom will look out at the trees.
I see up lighting in their future.
It's a start.
Right?
In the meantime,
it's our own private campground.
The Scamp and the Aloha
have taken their places again.
I'll post pictures of the circled wagons soon.

  2. The tulips are gorgeous...and the site for the house is just perfect. You're going to have such a beautiful view. I love the uplighting idea. My kids have a huge stand of live oaks that are uplit (in the front yard of their house that's for sale), and they're breathtaking.

  3. Gorgeous tulips - and how kind of them to be in bloom for your birthday!
Pretty cool about all the "re-situated dirt" - I need to see that property again...

  7. Ah.... Ironstone. I have never been there in the Spring. This is beautiful.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.
Enjoy the transformation of your land. What a treat! This is beautiful country to build in... just watch out for Rattlers. When you start moving the earth around they don't like it. We had some huge Rattlesnakes here when we were building our house and for years after. Just keep an eye out and be safe.
