Gems In The Hood

The Mister is in the real estate business...
The downside...well that's pretty obvious...
The upside....we have a key to all the vacant
homes on the market....and we can lurk to our
hearts content. This weekend we went a-lurking.
We saw two homes and both were a hit.

The first home was this spanish beauty.

The front porch wrapped in wisteria welcomed us.

The tile floors and brick fireplace said
"Come on in and sit a spell"...

Check out this gorgeous chandelier.

Beautiful hand hewn beams overhead.
A cozy fireplace.
Original tile...

This wall was originally the outside wall
but was later enclosed.
I love the arched doorway.
An indoor barbecue was once
an outdoor barbecue.

Walking into this bathroom
was a holy S#*@ moment.

My camera did not do it justice.

Can you imagine waking up in this bedroom?

All the door latches were original
and absolutely beautiful.

Okay, so if you want to buy it,
bring your tool belt and $250,000
and it's all yours.

Second up, an MCM charmer.
I was immediately smitten with the fireplace...
and the wall of windows...
Original cabinetry and hardware...
I like it.
The stair railing looked pretty deco.

And it still had the Nutone Radio Intercom System intact!

About the same price as the Spanish Senorita.
Nice!

  1. I'll take 'em both! I love them.

    Can I trade children?

  2. If I were a lot younger (and still had a lot of elbow grease), I'd jump on either of those!
