My son and I took a drive this weekend to the neighboring county. We hit a couple of yard sales along the way. He scored some computer games at the first stop so he was motivated to hit them all after that.
It was a particularly orange day for me.
The table was a steal of a deal at $7.00.
The fiberglass tray and fruit bowl were 10 cents apiece.
The fab fondue pot, $2.00. Placemats were 10 cents apiece also.
I found this set of dishes last week for $5.00 at a local thrift store.
WOW...love these items...what a bargain...
ReplyDeleteNice score on the dishes, TST Cathay if I'm not mistaken. Very cool indeed. And that table is an unbelievable bargain!!
ReplyDeleteWow! You had quite a weekend. Love all the orange things. Orange was so popular in the 50's and 60's. I remember my Mom pairing it with Pink and thinking that she was being very innovative.
ReplyDeleteI also love that table with the gray top. If you are interested..., there is an antique store in Jackson, downstairs next to the Wells Fargo Bank that has these tables with crome legs at very good prices.
Enjoy all of your finds....
Oooo, I'm so jealous--I have such a hard time finding TST Cathay--right now all I have is a platter and a couple plates & bowls. To find all that at one time is totally hitting the jackpot! I'm always so glad to see someone else finding lots of good stuff and then bragging on it just like I do. Of course we're not BRAGGING--we're SHARING!
ReplyDeleteI have some of those green Cathay dishes!
ReplyDeleteAnd love the table and orange things. Reminds me of Fall. Perfect!
Hot Diggity! You cleaned up! I lover every piece! I go yard saling with my Dad a lot. I love hanging out with him. Its a good family experience!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm so jealous! Never in a million years could you get a find like that over here. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWow - You guys certainly found some great stuff!!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. I'm so glad you finally found a fondue pot.;)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it would take me years to find that sort of stuff where I live. I went yard saling with my son this weekend, too. I love spending that time with him, too:)
Man, I was all hyped because I scored a Lane coffee table for $75 and a whole Ikea patio set for $100. Guess I overpaid (but it is California).
ReplyDeleteMy neighbors growing up had that exact same salad bowl. I've always wanted it!!
now thats what i call a bargain hunt...scavenging in utopia!!
ReplyDeleteLoving the orange!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally having a retro-flashback. I swear we had china like that back in the 60's.
ReplyDeleteGreat scores!
You got that right! You found mid-century heaven!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I'm new to your blog, and I like what I see. I came to you via Miss Atomic Ranch House. Great scores, if I do say so. Pleased to meet you!
ReplyDeleteYou find the absolute best deals. I always envy your finds. I wish I could go on the "hunt" with you!
