Blissful Bodega Bay Getaway

Our little getaway to Bodega Bay was so very relaxing.
Thanks to my sister and her husband for inviting us along.
Here are a few photos from the trip.

Windmills are so much prettier than oil rigs, aren't they?

We were in the wrong lane and accidently went over the Bay Bridge.
No worries, we got off on Treasure Island and were rewarded with a beautiful view of the city.

We arrived at this marvelous vacation home
just in time for cocktail hour.
My sister found this place on VRBO.
(vacation rentals by owner)

I lusted after this kitchen.

Notice the in-cabinet lighting?
The sink?
The view?
EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!

This was the view from our bed.

We ate cookies. Yum.

Watched the sunset.

Looked at the lights of town from the spa.

I love the way the railing is lit.

We watched wind surfers.

And flew kites.

Sigh......vacation perfection.

  2. Oh, I didn't know you went to Fort Ross, too! We have such fond memories of visiting there when we were kids. It all looks spectacular, Jamie - I'm so glad you got to do that!

  6. Jamie ~ Thank you so much for mentioning this here, especially before we head that direction! We'll be sure to stop there. That vacation rental that Bill and stephanie found is outrageously beautiful. She can book me a room anytime! Mary
