Do you want to know a secret?

The mister was not my first Valentine.
He doesn't know that my
heart belonged to someone else.
Four someone elses actually.
Here I am with my guys back in the 60's.
Then I found out they were stepping out on me...

I forgave them.
Bygones.
This is what the mister is getting for Valentines Day.
"When I'm Sixty-four"....
not so far off anymore.

Listening to my old Valentines with my now Valentine.
Life is good.
Happy Valentines Day.
Oh, sweet.
ReplyDeletePaul McCartney was dreamy.
My friend and I loved them. We were going to sit outside their houses until they discovered that they loved us and married us! Happy Valentines!
ReplyDeleteYup, one of my best memories was watching them for the first time on the Ed Sullivan Show--when they came out onstage I let out a scream that scared the crap out of my father! Then when he saw the entire audience erupt he shook his head and left the room. Mom said, "you know, we used to do the same thing over Frank Sinatra. He didn't understand that, either." I guess today's equivalent is (groan) Justin Bieber.
ReplyDeleteLove it! George is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeletemmmc...it was Ringo for me then.
ReplyDeleteZoot... I think I would have camped out if we lived in the same country.
Christine...I remember the Ed Sullivan show like it was yesterday. I nearly fainted on my bed.
I wish I coulda been a part of Beatlemania! When I was a young girl in the mid 80's they showed re-runs of The Monkees, a quickly developed a crush on Davy Jones. That's as close as I'll ever get!
ReplyDeleteVintage Christine's comment made me laugh! How sweet and innocent teenage girls were. I loved reading those Beatlemania comments.
ReplyDelete"All My Loving": Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you, Remember I'll always be true.....
ReplyDeleteI adored Paul; my first crush. (Batman was a close second!). I loved them when I was 4 and I'll love them when I'm 64.
