Snow? Really?

What a pleasant surprise to wake up to a blanket of white outside my window.
A perfect time to put on Phoebe Snow and enjoy the snowy goodness.

  1. What gorgeous photos!!! My favorites are the dark blue sky/big snowflakes and the one with the orange chair and yellow lamp contrasting with the snowy scene outside.

Here in north central Texas, the temperature is in the mid-70s, and we're still wearing shorts and flipflops. The view out my window isn't all that different from summer, except for the leaves I need to blow off my patio.

  2. Thanks Dana! The weather changed rapidly here. We were in the 70's this week so this snow was really a surprise.

  3. Yes, contrary to popular belief - we DO have "seasons" here! And living here in the Sierra Nevada foothills - we get EVERY kind of weather - even all within a week!
Pretty cool, really, when you think about it!

  4. Wow! I was going to ask yesterday (in your beautiful red and green post) whether it snowed where you are .. but I thought maybe not (you're in California?) and didn't want to look like an ignoramus.

I should have asked! But now I know! Keep Mid-Century warm!

  5. Funny you should say that MMMC, I was going to ask Dana if it snowed where she was at in Texas but didn't want to sound like an ignoramus. We ignorami need to stick together in our weather ignorantcy. Now I'll step out on a limb and ask you if it ever snows where you are?

  6. OMG! You must be higher in elevation than us. YOU GOT SNOW. I'm so jealous. I'm hoping for tonight. Hoping, hoping , hoping.... It's really cold outside.
The photos are just beautiful. The photos of the snow on the beautiful fall leaves are just wonderful. Thanks for all the pictures.

  7. We will be wearing shorts and flipflops for Thanksgiving this year in southern Mississippi. Just really gets you IN THE MOOD, you know? Grrrrr. On the bright side, it's also going to be raining. Bright side, you say? Yup, because on Friday the temps are supposed to plummet, and I do mean plummet, about 30 degrees. Woo hoo! Your photos are lovely, m'deah, and even though we will probably be snowless this year, at least I can live vicariously through others like you.

  8. Brrr, that's quite a drop. I kind of like to work into winter as opposed to having it hit with a bang. Gives this cranky body some time to adjust.

  9. These are so beautiful! I love the view out your windows. You have me craving snow now. It's far too warm where I live (we've had a freaky weather year). I'm not happy about a 70 degree Thanksgiving. BTW - have a Happy Thanksgiving!
