Black Friday Thrifty Finds

And other recent thrift store scores

I love the mod paisley design on this enamel pan.
This turquoise lamp was 75% off
bringing the grand total to $2.50.

Loving my new percolator.
Works like a champ and only
set me back a few dollars.

I found the tiny Dansk vase for 25 Cents.
The large coffee/tea pot was a dollar.
I love these Swedish 60's candlesticks.
They were in the original boxes.
I think they look great next to the
cool owl that was a gift from my friend Heidi.
Another white teapot I couldn't refuse for a dollar.
This book has some very clever ideas.
I love the colors in this
large enamel serving tray.
More fiberglass trays to add to my collection.

Except for the two strawberry patterned

  2. Thanks Heidi. Salvation Army had a half off sale yesterday and the clerk took another half off because of the date. It was two weeks old. I didn't expect that so I was thrilled.

  6. I have to get used to the percolator. My coffee was like mud this morning and we were out of milk and half and half! I think I may have to have my beans ground at the store because our grinder turns it to powder. It was good mud though.

  8. It was a spur of the moment shop, with Will in tow, who needed to get home in a hurry to study for his upcoming finals. We zipped through S.A. in in about 3 minutes. We're good! Had no clue it was half off day.

  9. Wowey! Great finds, MCM! I love that owl best ... I thought the coffee percolator came with the coffee ... which would have been convenient, and possibly one of the suggestions in your book.

Can you share some suggestions, because I'm living in an efficient, inconvenient household?

Yours in enjoying your purchase of more Mid-Century delightfulness that will fill your soon-to-be newly built M-C home,

  10. MMMC..I read the books and look at the pictures but if you took a look in my closets and drawers you'd see I am a poor student. I keep trying. Perhaps this is the book that will change it all.
