Run away from responsibilities.
Never mind cleaning out the carport.
Let the laundry pile up.
Yard work? Who needs it?
I'd prefer to be napping under this majestic oak...
Or contemplating life on this ancient granite boulder.
Or strolling through a stand of towering pines.
We have a favorite spot on the Tuolumne River.
This time of year we have it all to ourselves.
We barbecued burgers...
and veggie dogs for the son.
Listened to some live music.
We enjoyed a room with a view...
Love the indignant husband! (Is that the peering son in lower left corner??
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous camping spot. What a great post to start the day which is full of chores!
MCM, you're great!
Yes MMMC, that is my child4 who still likes camping with the folks. We like that.
ReplyDeleteI swear if I had known you were doing that, I may have asked if I could come out for a visit! Could've brought stuff for S'mores!
ReplyDeleteIf I'd known you were going to make that giant pan of chocolate chip bars, I would have skipped the camping and headed for your place!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that looks relaxing!
ReplyDeleteOh that private soaking tub looks so nice.
ReplyDeleteAw camping! Its so nice :-)
ReplyDeleteI hear you on this one. After the hordes of summer leave then it's our turn.
ReplyDeleteCamping in our beautiful mountains next to our amazing rivers. It doesn't get any better than this. Aren't we lucky to live where we live?
