Oh my goodness! I'm so happy for you. I'm going to see Paul in two weeks, and I cannot wait. I got to see him about six years ago for the first time, and I consider myself so lucky to get to see him in my home state this time (the first time he's ever played Nashville). The setlist looks awesome! A Day in the Life, I'm Looking Through You...??!!! Now I really can't wait!
ReplyDeleteOh crap, he sang Here Today? I burst into tears when he sang that at Staples Center. You're lucky, they let you take pictures. We couldn't. The only thing I have is a Tshirt (that I've never worn) and a ticket stub.
ReplyDeleteMcCartney rocks, doesn't he?
Susie O, you will love this concert. His band did not miss a note and Paul sounded like he did when he was a Beatle.
ReplyDeleteBarbara...is the man amazing or what?
Wow- that is quite a playlist! Don't you just love how music has the ability to make you feel 8 yrs old again?!
ReplyDeleteLove it - I had the same feelings and experience when I saw him in concert. He never disappoints. And yeah, he sang "Here Today" and "Something" (on ukelele) in honor of John and George and it was very moving!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Paul McCartney (sounds amazing) but I did see Paul Simon, and it ruled my world! It was not disappointing in the least..well except maybe that it had to end!
ReplyDeleteIt was a concert to end all concerts, I will say that!! Just being in the same air as McCartney was enough for me, but the show was so solid and like you said, he didn't miss a note!
ReplyDeleteOzzy Osborne was in a box above us, and every once in a while you could hear him yell "McCartney, you rock!!"
Pam@GoRetro: Were we at the same concert? He did the ukelele for George at mine too!
Beautiful photos! Thanks for taking us along to the concert. Am loving the 2nd-hand experience. I think I'm getting goose-bumps!
ReplyDeleteOMG - I wish I'd been there with you- I already knew before I even heard about it how wonderful it would be - I mean, I get goose bumps when I just see him perform on TV.
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds SO freaking fabulous.
That is a long show! So glad you got to have this amazing experience :)
