More Inspiration

We're getting our groove on with the trailer revamp.
The latest bit of inspiration comes from Pierre Arnoux.
You can read about his "Unique Bohemian Trailer" here.

And here is our not-so-bohemian version,
a work in progress...

Several gallons of white paint later,
and still more to go,
much more, but it's a start.

We painted all weekend.
My back hurts.

I spray painted the drawer pulls black.
I may rethink that decision later.

Music filled the air the old school way.
No ipods, iphones, or itunes here.
We're bohemian.

Afterwards we enjoyed a little campfire...

And some refreshments.

And then we danced around the fire.

  1. OMG...the Bohemian trailer is so cool! I can completely see you pulling that look of perfectly. What a happy place!

I painted the drawer pulls on my end tables flat black, and they really look good. Surprisingly, they hold up well to constant use. I've only had to repaint them once in about 4 years.

    1. Thanks Dana. Flat black is a big improvement over the shiny gold. I hope mine hold up as well.

  2. Wow, the white paint is opening up that tiny space immediately. I'll admit I was a skeptic but you are pulling it off beautifully. Consider me converted to the power of white paint! I love your little wagon train you have going there. The fire and the wine, looks so darn cozy. What a nice way to unwind after all your hard work :-)

    1. It does feel so much more open now Amber. I think I'm going to like the white although I'll need plenty of 409 spray cleaner to keep it looking white.

  4. Iam a big fan of white paint-in all its shades! The trailer is starting a new and brighter life....look like a lot of fun despite obvious hard work.

    1. I had no idea how many shades of white there are until I went to buy the paint!

  6. These camper renovations that everyone keeps posting are making me really, really want one. The only thing that's kept me from taking the plunge is my lack of a suitable towing vehicle. Thank God for that.

    1. We actually don't have a vehicle to tow this beast. It's not going anywhere until we build a house next to it. It will then become someone else's project!

  7. I think it's looking great!
And I wish I had been there to make S'mores over that fire.

    1. Thanks Heidi. There are many more campfires in our future. Next time I'll give you a jingle.

  8. Sounds like a lot of hard work, but I think it'll be really worth it in the end.

That bohemian trailer is how I picture my 'spot' in heaven! Divine!! Really. That's what the Big Guy's got planned for me.

I love your caravan posts. Keep 'em coming!

PS Were any lads available to help?

    1. No, sadly the younger lads were at work so it was just me and the older lad.

Okay Carmel, I'm saving you a spot in heaven when you come to visit. Maybe by then we'll be in our new home. If not, we'll have to pitch a tent. Either way works!

  9. Love that inspiration! I'm not normally big on white interiors but I think it's a smart move for a trailer. They are usually so dark looking - the white looks like it really brightens everything up!

    1. Oh my, I'm so envious. This looks like such fun.
I love the white paint. It does make everything look bigger... and it's a clean slate for what is to come.
You are having way too much fun here.
      Enjoy the campfire.
