We found this light at a
yard sale a few months ago.
The woman that we bought it
from said her husband
made them in his spare time.
What you can't see is all the
penciled in numbers.
She had at least six of them and
was selling them for $8.oo apiece.
I was tempted to buy several.
It's been sitting on top of our refrigerator
until today and I finally
added a light to the inside.
I had no idea how cool it was until tonight....
I wish I would have bought a couple of them now.
Did it come flat-packed? Or did he put it all together?
ReplyDeleteYour pad is looking so cool.
It came all together. I gave up on trying to erase the numbers.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the cool compliment on my pad!
I was over at your place leaving a comment while you were at my place...
Your Moomin pad is wayyy cool!
Love that light!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I bet you could sit there and stare at that swirly light for hours!
ReplyDeletethe magic of a light. way cool.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great light! I wish we could sell them in our store.
ReplyDeleteWow - so gorgeous! I know that feeling - wishing you'd splurged and bought more. That happens so often for me! But at least you have the one and it is so beautiful and unusual. I'm totally jealous.
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool! I can see why you wish you bought more. Wonder if you could go back and see? What a great place to sit outside and relax or entertain.
ReplyDeleteThose swirly lines are really cool. That is one neat lamp! I like that there are pencilled #'s on it. It really gives you a sense of where it came from and who made it!
ReplyDeleteYou need to go back there (if you remember where it was) and see if there are more. They are waaaay cool and worth alot more than 8 bucks! Why can't we learn to get it when we're there--I am so guilty of that. Well, at least you got the one lamp!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your house is insanely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing all lit up! Great find.
