So sorry, but there is hope. Our Thomas disappeared in the fall about 4 years ago and was gone for about 10 days. He finally just showed up one day, looked a bit dusty but otherwise unharmed. To this day he has not divulged where he was - I suspect he may have gotten locked in someone's shed or garage, but no one in our neighborhood had any clues to offer. Anyway, don't lose hope. Post some missing cat fliers in your neighborhood and have some of her favorite treats waiting.
Goodness. Stay positive. She'll come home. Keep looking for her. Keep us updated. If I were only in the neighbourhood I'd send everyone out searching. Hugs to you. I could imagine the worry.
Once in the middle of our Quebec winter we lost our alpha male Ooch in a snowstorm. I couldn't function for 2 days, on the third morning I woke up startled by a dream that he had come home and he had! He was hiding under the balcony.
Be sure to check everywhere and that means garden shed etc... I had a kitty who hid in the shed and wouldn't come out, turns out she was sick and I just wish I would've been more thorough. It happens.
Dizzy was gone once for an entire day and I was seriously freaking out. He came back. something scared him , I guess, and he was hiding out or something. I don't know. But I hope that's what is going on with Frieda. I really do. You KNOW how I am about cats - mine - yours - anybody's. I love them so. I am hopeful.
We had a cat that went missing when I was a kid think she went for near a week (well it felt that way) funny thing was we could occassionally hera a meow then nothing,One day mum opened the wardrobe in the spare room and there she was.Hoping your gorl comes home soon.
I can't tell you about my one sad cat story. It's been 15 years and it still hurts to remember... but I do know that cats will just go away for a while and them come home again. A friend says that some outdoor cats have other lives with other people... multiple human homes. I'm not sure about that. but I sure hope that your kitty comes home soon...
I hope Freida comes home soon. We had a momma cat abandon her litter, and we had to bottle feed the entire bunch. Months later, she showed up in the yard, after all the hard work was done. They don't forget how to get back home!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. I'm hoping she just wanted to be left alone and she'll come back when she's feeling better.
